Djangocaster

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Taking advantage of some spare time and free scrap material, I decided to design and build an electric guitar inspired by the Selmer-Maccaferri style guitar (used by Django Reinhardt, a personal hero). The guitar body consists of 3 layers of 1/2" Baltic birch, and uses standard Telecaster electronics (giving it a good bit of twang). Unfortunately I didn't build the neck myself (that's a little beyond my skill level), but other than that, the guitar plays great and is one-of-a-kind.
