CYRO
JELLYFISH ROBOT
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Cyro is a 6 ft. diameter underwater robot inspired by the jellyfish Cyanea Capillata. Cyro was design in order to investigate and characterize the fluid mechanics behind jellyfish propulsion. Cyro gained national press attention, including being featured in Wired, CNN, and Popular Mechanics (December 2013) and was published in IOP's journal of Bioinspiration and Biomimetics .
MY ROLE
